Sixth Annual Manufacturing First Expo Conference Day 1 Agenda

APPLETON, WI, – Oct. 6, 2016 – The 6th annual Manufacturing First Expo and Conference will be held October 19 and 20 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. It is designed for Wisconsin Manufacturers to showcase industry advances, highlight successes, announce the latest developments, and provide premier networking opportunities.

Day 1 of the event will begin at 1:30 where attendees will pick one of five programs to attend:

Metal & Machine Builders – The Lake Companies, Acuity Insurance, and Waupaca Foundry will host the program tracks focusing on Metals & Machine Builders. Mark Lasky, CEO at Sadoff Iron and Metal Co., will present “Metal Commodity Pricing – The Good, Bad & Ugly.” William Chapin, Product Compliance Manager at Mercury Marine, will present “Conflict Minerals: Do What is Right to Create a Positive View of Manufacturing in Our Area.” Mark Stevens, Partner, Manufacturing and Distribution Consulting and Technology Integration at Wipfli LLP – CPA’s and Consultants, will present “Emerging Business System Technologies and Trends Impacting the Shop.”

Safety – M3 Insurance, Sentry Insurance and Bassett Mechanical will host the program tracks focusing on Workplace Safety. Dr. Daniel J Moran, founder of Pickslyde Consulting will present “Behavioral Based Safety: The 21st Century Approach.”  Richard Pollock, President at CLMI Safety Training, will present “Human Error: There is No Root Cause.”

Lean – Optima Associates will host the program tracks focusing on Lean Selling. Rich Lucia, Speaker, Author & Consultant, will present “Sustainable Lean Selling – The User Experience.” Jeff Koser, Founder & CEO at Selling to Zebras, Inc. will present “Lean Selling: How the Principles of Lean Apply to Sales and Monitor Three Key Metrics.”

Exporting – Wisconsin Technical College System, in partnership with LINKe, NEWIBN, Moraine Park Technical College, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Fox Valley Technical College and Lakeshore Technical College will host the program tracks focusing on Exporting. Paul Johnson, President & Owner at CFI, will present “Brief Political, Cultural and Commercial Landscape of Cuba Today.” John McGeown, VP Industrial Technology at IDA Ireland, will present “Ireland to the EU, How to Establish a Beachhead for European Expansion.”

Talent – Employment Resource Group will be the premier host of the program tracks focusing on Building Talent. Sharon Hulce, President at Employment Resource Group, and Rick Bickert, President of Consolidated Construction Co., will present “Building a Culture Around Shared Values” and “Building True Employee Engagement.”
