First Business GPS Education Partners Formally – Second Chance Partners For Education Announce $75,000 Education Fund

MILWAUKEE, WI, – June 3, 2013 – First Business, along with GPS Education Partners (Formally – Second Chance Partners for Education), is pleased to announce the establishment of a $75,000 education fund for local students interested in manufacturing.

This new fund is the first of its kind at GPS Education Partners. It will provide financial assistance to create amazing opportunities for those wanting to participate in the innovative 21 month program or the new Advance Manufacturing Certificate Pathway. First Business has provided the initial investment of $75,000 to establish the education fund.

“At First Business, we are committed to the manufacturing community to help this sector grow and be prosperous. We are proud to be a founding member of the Waukesha County Manufacturing Alliance and the Manufacturing First Expo & Conference among others. When manufacturing thrives, we all thrive,” commented Dave Vetta, President of First Business Bank – Milwaukee.

If you are interested in making a tax-deductible contribution to the education fund and supporting future students at GPS Education Partners, please visit www.GPSed.org.

GPS Education Partners is proud to offer students a unique education model for success that includes:

  • Full immersion into real-world business experience
  • Business, education and community partnerships
  • History of student success

Students receive hands-on educational programming through an education center housed within a partner business. The on-site academic component allows students to remain fully immersed within the business setting and creates a classroom focused on practical application of the subject matter.

In addition, learning takes place in real-time as students have access to partner business resources and expertise. We do more than merely educate; we prepare students for continued education and meaningful careers.
