Local Economic Trends – Dane County

First Business Economic Survey Results

Please join us for a highly anticipated first look at the results of our 2018 First Business Economic Survey. With 16 years of data from local business leaders in Dane County, the First Business Economic Survey reflects local executives’ assessments of 2018 financial performance and their predictions for 2019. You’ll find out what business leaders are saying about 2018 and 2019 anticipated sales, capital expenditures, profitability, hiring, wage changes, capacity and more, and compare those numbers to years past.

Dr. Moses Altsech, president of Altsech Consulting and lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will highlight the 2018 survey results. Following the presentation, Wendy Warren Grapentine, former Madison news anchor and owner of Straight to the Point Communications, LLC., will moderate a panel discussion with local business leaders on the economic climate of Dane County.
